MINOX BV II 62030 8 x 25 BR Compact Binocular (Black)

Well done indeed
Purchased these binoculars to use as a pair to carry on my person while in the out-of-doors, as a larger pair would be left either in the vehicle or even at home. I do own full size binoculars from Nikon, Steiner, Leica, and Zeiss, but they are not carried any distance in the field due to their size and weight, negating their use severely. These compact Minox binocs will be carried specifically whilst fishing and target shooting, and their construction, features, and sharpnesss will more than justify their purchase. While compact binocs on the market are easily found, quality, lower priced models are not, and these 8x25 Minox BV II's fit that bill perfectly. Nitrogen purged to be fog-& waterproof, they are also rubber armoured to resist shock and improve comfort and grip in moist conditions. The lenses are multicoated to transmit more light and reduce flare, featuring eyecups which are retractable for eyeglass wearers, with an overall size making them ideal for carry in larger pockets...
Very Nice 8x25 Bino's
Minus 1 star for 3 reasons.

1) The bino's do not fit into the very tight fitting case while the eye cups are twisted up. The ready to go position for me and I would think most birders. I haven't found any manufacturer that allows room for the about 5/16"-3/8" extra room needed.

2) The clasp on the front Is very small and not very easy to operate. It does hold quite well though. I would prefer to see good quality magnets for quick/quiet access.

3) No lens protectors ??? I could get by with no covers for the objective lenses. Though they should be offered. They are either hanging from a neck or standing on my counter ready to go or they are in their case.
The Eye Lenses on the other hand NEED covers! As a person wears them outside In the winter, what happens to a persons nose exposed to the cold air on a 2hr walk? It runs/drips a lot. Where does that drip fall when you can't feel it? Bingo right on the Eye lenses. Even in warm weather where does...
Outstanding
I have owned various binoculars over the years and would have preferred to buy Zeiss or Leica, but could not afford to do so.

I initially started to look for the excellent Nikon compact version (which I also own but gave to my daughter for a trip to Costa Rica). When I saw that I could buy the Minox version, nitrogen-filled, for just a bit more, I jumped at it given my overwhelmingly positive experience with other Minox products.

The field of view is crystal clear, the quality is apparent and the nitrogen-filled lenses are a special benefit.

Just terrific, IMO. Actually, a steal for a German-made binocular of this quality.

BARSKA Blackhawk 20-60x60 Angled Spotting Scope with Tripod, Soft Carrying Case And Premium Hard Case

For The Shooting Range & Hunting
I was looking for a scope I could use at my range when shooting my ak-47 and ar-15 and other guns. I really didnt want to spend a ton of money but at the same time didnt want to buy junk. I am a once and done type of buyer. I read almost all reviews on this scope and no one really answered the questions i wanted to know and if they did answer them someone else had and exact oposite thing to say. I wanted something that i could see my shots on paper at 25,50,100,200 yards, with my experience with this scope it works GREAT for the 25,50,100 yard, it focuses in very nice and clear. at 200 yards it is somewhat harder to see the shots on white paper but it is possible. I found that if i use the black targets that glow when the bullet hits them i have no problem seeing where I hit, for me this is not a problem for the price point.. I really dont shoot 200 yard that offten. some reviews read that they didnt have a problem seeing the bullet holes at 300 yards, from my experience with this...
its all about what you want
You get what you pay for.
As others have said it does come in a nice hardcase and a seperate soft case. The tripod is decent. My issue is with the lens. If your looking to hunt game and its large like a deer and you just want a closer view of the target then this is the one for you. If your wanting to site in your rifle at different ranges and want to be able to see your hits on the paper from 100 or more yards, this may disapoint. This scope totaly loses its clarity beyond 55 power and starts to struggle at 50.
I was really hoping this scope would reduce my trips back and forth to view my shots as shooting ranges are extremely limited here and lines develope quickly when your shooting. If you can afford to spend 50.00 bucks more for a better product do it...
Good value for the money.
I purchased this scope primarily for checking targets at the shooting range. I not only find it adequate, but it slightly exceeds my expectations. True, the scope is not "hefty", but it doesn't have that "empty beer can" feel either. The glass is better than most sub-$100 scopes and I can clearly dial in 100-150yrds during the day (this is easily beyond my visual aiming acuity without a rifle scope). Easy to operate adjustments and comfortable angled eyepiece. My only ding is for short eye-relief, but hey, it is what it is. The tripod isn't great, but it's metallic and seems serviceable for sitting on the range bench. (For any other type of scope viewing activity, I would probably use my higher quality Manfrotto tripod or monopod). The carrying case is cheapy, but as long as you don't bang it around or shoot it, it should be ok for storage and transport. The soft case is a nice plus for easier portability.

For all the marginal reviews on this scope, all I can think is that...

5.11 42-Inch Double Rifle Case, Black, One Size

Excellent Rifle bag. Pricey but worth it.
Holds my AR-15 (16" barrel, scopes and Front grip) and my 10/22 rifle with scope, and even a handgun or 2. Molle straps holds everything securely in place and you can configure the straps any which way you want. Also has enough side pockets (x3) to put your magazines, extra ammo and some basic tools for the range. Little pricey but worth it. You can also carry the case like a backpack quite comfortably. Overall good rifle case with good padding to protect your babies.
Good quality, but no secure pistol storage out of the box
My case just arrived at my door yesterday, but initially I'm pleased with the overall quality of the case.

The one hit I have on the design is that it's not terribly good for pistol transport as is. The demo video I watched on 5.11's website demonstrated how pistols can be stored in the outer compartment, under a snap-secured flap. So I loaded up my bag with an AR-15, a Ruger 10/22, a full-sized 1911 and a Crosman 44 pellet revolver, zipped everything up and gently stood the bag up on end a couple of times. When I opened it up, I discovered that the pistols had migrated towards the middle of the bag and were almost touching--*shudder*. So I would recommend *against* storing pistols under those flaps--it's just not secure enough. A better bet for pistol transport would probably be a Molle holster inside that same compartment, on the top of the flaps, or attached to the outside of the bag.

Each side of the main rifle compartment comes with four velcro straps that...
Very nice case, but worth the extra $?
Here are my comments on the case (I'm trying not to overly duplicate all the other reviews)

After lots of on-line research, the primary reason I chose the 5.11 tactical over other available options was the molle straps on the two inside rifle compartments. The molle allow me to secure my firearms with included hook & fastener (i.e. Velcro) straps. I found this a nice featue. Especially if you want to put multiple hand guns in one side of the case, or try to squeeze two smaller rifles in a single side. All the other widely available soft cases did not have the molle.

The question is: does this feature justify the higher price of this case? That's a personal decision. Also note that this case is made in China. It would have been much easier for me to justify the premium price had the case been made in USA. Sadly, none of the rugged double rifle soft cases I found were made in USA.

That aside, the case is plenty roomy, to the point of almost being...

Pro Ears Predator Gold NRR 26 Ear Muffs (Green)

mixed feelings
On one hand, these seem to be great. On the other, they are way too expensive for what they do. I have other passive ear muffs that block out far more sound and other active muffs that were more like $20 that are fine. They do not block out enough for some hot 44 Magnum loads I was shooting out of a 2 3/8" snubbie - I needed plugs inside these muffs. If they were under $100, I'd give them 5 stars. If you do not have a budget, then by all means buy these. If you ARE on a budget, these aren't your ticket...

Update: I have since added 2 stars and have used and enjoyed them quite a bit more since my initial review. Yes, I double up with plugs when shooting Magnums. Decided my hearing was worth much more than what these cost me. Happy customer.
This is a great product!
My approach is simple: I only take care of those teeth, eyes, and ears I want to keep.

For my ears, I tried several different hearing protectors before I discovered Pro Ears Predator Gold electronic ear muffs. I have been very pleased with them on the range, deer hunting, and duck hunting. They are comfortable, the electronic amplification is superb, and the protection is great.

I recently attended Thunder Ranch and wore these ear muffs all day for three days straight. I've never worn them for such long periods of time and I was not disappointed. They were comfortable throughout the day, I could easily hear all of the range instructions, and I could have conversations without taking them off.

Now, one thing I have not explained is that I always wear foam ear plugs under the ear muffs. This is good ear protection, but you can't hear much when you combine ear plugs with normal, passive ear muffs. However, with the electronic amplification on the Pro Ears...
pro ears ear protectors
I have used many passive ear protectors in the past. This is a very comfortable device to wear and it makes conversation possible even with loud noise nearby. I would recomend the pro ears predator gold ear muffs to anyone that needs a high quality hearing protector.

AR15 M4 CX4 SU16 Tactical Combo Set w/ NcStar MKIII 3-9x42 Rifle Scope + NcStar Red Dot Reflex Sight

Jack of all trades, master of none.
I received this as a Christmas gift, and have had a chance to use it on 2 range trips so far. My thought is that it is a jack of all trades, master of none deal. Bikini scope covers drive me bonkers, as they tend to get misplaced once off of the glass. Also, the hood for the reflex sight is easily lost once it loosens up a bit with a few removals. It would have been great to have a flip up system for the main scope, and amazingly good to have a flip up for the reflex. It would have helped with the sun fadeout issue noted later. At a minimum, some sort of lanyard for the reflex sight cover would be a good idea.

The 3-9 scope is quite sufficient considering the expected maximum effective range of 5.56mm at 300M. If the target is further than that, you are just hoping for a lucky hit on the 12" gong in my experience. The optics are sharp, and the illumination is bright and available in red or green. The zoom function knob is VERY tight on mine, and was made even more difficult...
dont waste your money
don't let the cool looking setup fool you. this scope is not worth 200+. I paid 135 on this site and will be returning it. scope itself id adequate, reflex is terrible. adjustment screw stripped out as soon as I tried to adjust it. you can probably make your own similar setup with 300-400. Like my friend said that I didn't listen to before I bought this said "buy cheap buy twice" I will be because this scope is not a quality product.
Scope
This scope has great features and the clarity is very good for the price. Scope was easy to mount and instructions were clear.

5.11 Mission Ready 2.0 Rolling Deployment Bag, Black

Good bag for a medium deployment
This is a well designed and constructed bag. I like the overall layout with the ability to divide top from bottom. I would like to see straps that go all the way around as a method of compressing the bag slightly when heavily loaded. I understand the tradeoff between easy access and this type of strap and after using the bag more I might change my mind. I would recommend this to anyone who has a lot of gear to schlep around.
Holds all i need
This bag is nice. There is lots of room with tie downs inside to keep things from shifting. There are several external pockets to hold items as well. Inside is a divided as well as storage in lid. Easily held a weeks worth of clothes, extra shoes and a jacket. No regrets on this one!
perfect
This is a great bag for trips up to a week long. It is well built and easy to transport.

Voodoo Tactical 42" Deluxe Rifle Case

I like it, I love it.
Fits 2 rifles, 2 pistols, 6 rifle magagines, 8 pistol magazines.
You can attach stuff at various points.
Padded.
Voodoo Tactical makes very strong gear. Other's can be cheaper. Do you really want to save $20 when you're carrying $2,000 or more worth of gear?
The only way I'd make this better, and win the 5th star, is to put backpack straps on it. There is a carry strap, but 2 rifles, 2 pistols, and magazines add up in weight. The non-deluxe version has the backpack straps, but not the magazine pouches.
To sum it up, I'd buy it again. In fact, I just may in a few months.
very nice gun case
Top notch quality. Able to carry 60lbs of gear with no problem. After running a lighter through all loose ends, this bag kicks butt. Able to store 50round bullet boxes in large mag holders. Also able to put a hand gun 10" soft case in middle pouch, side pouch used for paper work and range gear. Holds two long guns no problem. Pouches measure 11" by 8" inside with 3-4' of width. Hate how the D rings are stitched on, they put them on in such a way that you cannot attach backpack straps if you wanted to. I have a pair and it doesnt work out. BTW, the condore emt ripaway pouch fits prefect on side molle, got one on there to hold more gear and two more patches but od color isnt an exact match but close enough not to notice unless youre sherlock holmesing it, the middle pouch hold 3 patches. This bags worth 60 bucks imo but retailers need a cut so pay the piper, you wont be disappointed.

STAY AWAY FROM OPTIC SALE! THEY LURE YOU IN WITH CHEAP PRICES AND IT TAKES THEM...
Awesome bag
This bag is great, seems to be extremely durable. Keeps both my AR's and 2 of my handguns with several mags for them and still plenty of room for other items... It is very easy to make the bag almost to heavy to carry around... Only draw back that I see is it only comes with one strap and with bag loaded down to max it looks like to much stress will be applied if you carry it with the strap.. Wish it had two so it could be carried like a backpack. Other than that , no problems.... Great bag

Spyderco Civilian G-10 Handle Serrated Edge Knife, Black

The finest defensive folder made...when used in an actual situation, it does not disappoint
This is a knife made for self defense. It is not made for utility usage whatsoever. The documentation that comes with the knife says this verbatim. There is a reason. This knife is meant to cut people. And of all self-defense folders on the market, this is arguably the finest and the one that maximizes your chance of surviving an attack. It also has the widest body of knowledge of owners who have had to use it. I'm included in that group.

The design of this knife is essentially to allow someone who knows little about MBC to do a lot of damage. Someone with with a small amount of training can do even more damage. However, unlike the karambit (which is a fantastic defensive weapon), a user without any experience in using a knife for self defense can do a lot of damage with the Civilian. I would advise James Keating's Spyderco Civilian Video to maximize one's capability with the Reverse S Curve blade that the Civilian, Matriarch, Lil'Matriarch, and a few other folders from...
Hella Big Beast
This is a large, well....... weapon. Make no mistake, this knife is made for one thing. Go to the Spyderco web site and read it. Yes it CAN cut rope, but this is overkill if that's want you want. I really bought it as a unique knife for my collection. To carry the Civilian is for self defense. There is 100% no doubt in my mind that this knife will perform it's intended purpose well. I cut myself with the tip of the blade with hardly ANY pressure. I love it. It is def not an EDC. But I would trust it with my life.
EXTREMELY MEAN
I bought this knife as a primary defense weapon, due to some unique circumstances. It will go through thick parkas or leather like you were opening up a zipper! This knife has a reverse "S" blade that is intended to be used like an oversized claw. It has a deep curve and full belly. The blade (VG-10 hollow-ground) comes fully serrated and wicked sharp. Because of its distinct features, it's not intended for EDC. It's a serious blade, in case you get into serious trouble.

* Blade Material: ATS 55 Stainless Steel
* Blade Style: Fully Serrated Hollow Ground Hawk bill
* Handle Material: G-10
* Locking Mechanism: Lock Back
* Blade Length: 4 1/8"
* Handle Length: 5 3/16"
* Overall Open Length: 9.125"
* Weight: 4.5 oz.

Summit Treestands Goliath SD Climbing Treestand

climbing treestand
I bought my tree stand after the hunting season was over and I'm very anxious to use it hunting. I've practiced climbing some trees several times this winter. It works great! It's easy to set up and climb with. I was a little disappointed when I got the stand in the mail and saw that the padded rest isn't padded all the way around to the sides. Also the backpacking straps have not been updated as I was led to believe on their websites and you tube. These straps are supposed to allow you to connect the seat to the base in case you lose the base while on the tree. I think Amazon must get old versions of these stands to sell. I'm going to continue using it as weather permits so that when hunting season rolls around again I'll be quite proficient at it. I want to be able to walk into the woods in the dark and quietly climb the tree.
Summit Goliath treestand
This treestand is simply the best stand I've used. I've owned a few climbing stands - an API Bowhunter, a Lone Wolf Sit and Climb, and a Summit Razor - this one tops them all. Comfortable, easy to use and backpack, the best.
Big...yet light
My brother recommended I try this stand for comfort and size. I have had 9 or 10 treestands over the years and I believe this to be the best so far. Ever stand has it's positives and negatives but this one has way more positives. Big platform, light for it's size, positive locking of cables, comfortable to sit in for long periods of time. The boot stirrups and strap on the back of your boots are a huge improvement over my last stand....had to reach down and tighten a buckle! This stand is pretty large and will not only handle larger hunters, it'll go around bigger trees. The downsides: Hard to figure out how to put together for carrying it. The seat is used as a pad for your back but ends up being in the way of the shoulder straps. Likewise, there is no real good place to put the seat while climbing. It's constantly getting bumped by your knees. All in all, best stand I've ever owned that is light, easy to climb and most importantly, makes you feel secure while up in a...

STAINLESS STEEL BARREL M4 Contour 5.56/223

Stainless barrel chambered in 5.56
I disregarded some of the reviews on these barrels and bought one. ER Shaw is a good name when it comes to barrels. I was pleasantly surprised that the barrel I received was a 16" Stainless barrel chambered for 5.56 it has a carbine gas port, M4 contour, 1/9 twist, it is threaded 1/2"-28 at the muzzle, the exterior diameter at gas port: 0.750" and has M4 feed ramps. So what you have here is your basic M4gery barrel made out of stainless by one of the better barrel makers, and I received it in less than a week. All I can say is Thank You Tactical Ambush! Dont listen to people that hate on a product they have never even seen ;)
Great Barrel for the price, just be sure to contact the seller if you need something specific.
Overall I am pleased with this barrel. I did a lot of shopping in my search to find a barrel and you really can't find a better stainless, (or from my experience, any stainless barrel in this length) for less money. I haven't been able to take it out to any meaningful distance, but so far it shoots as well or better than I can. Naturally, being stainless it cleans up well, which was important to me since it's mostly doing duty as a fancied up .22lr right now. In short I have plenty of good and nothing bad to say about the quality of this barrel.

I would make a note though, the description is a bit vague and to compound matters there are two different profiles pictured at the time of writing this. The top two pictures are of a "Government" profile and the bottom picture is of a "Medium" profile barrel. Neither barrel is the stepped M4 profile.

The barrel I received was the one pictured on the bottom, the "medium" profile. I would...

Nikon ProStaff 4-12x40 Black Matte Riflescope (Nikoplex)

Verry nice scope
Wow where to start, Nice verry nice, mounted on a encore 270. and loving it. I looked a long tine for the right scope,, Verry clear-- Nikoplex crosshairs, out of the box at night ( black out ) looking at the nebors house 60 yds out just his interior light on scope was clear- cross hairs were visable-great light retencion. I will buy Nikon again.
Now my selling points, Eye relief is good, at 4 or 12 no readjusting to match scope, length is longer than most - looks sharp, clear, basic- no elavation etc. not needed most shots will not wate for you. I am glad I went with Nikon and will do so again
Extremelly Nice Scope.
I bought this scope to replace a Leupold Vari-X II 3-9. This scope is way better. The lens are extremely clear, zoom moves with ease, zero reset turrets work well and it looks good on my rifle.

My favorite feature is the zero reset turrets. So after you sight in your rifle at 100 yards, you can then pull up on the turrents and change their position without adjusting the scope. After I sighted in I adjusted them both to zero. Now when I go to shoot at 300 yards, I know I have 9 inches of drop, so I adjusted my elevation turret to 3 (3" of adjustment at 100 yards is 9" of adjustment at 300 yards) and I will be shooting dead on. It could not be easier.
new scope
mounted on an AR-15, nikon is the clearest scope I have looked through, I would rather the scope covers be flip up but I can live with it.

Nikon Buckmasters 3-9x40mm Nikoplex (Matte)

Misleading add by seller
I selected this Nikon Buckmaster 3x9x40 scope and the description clearly stated that it had the BDC redicle. They even attached a short video that showed the BDC reticle. I received the standard Nikoplex reticle. I didn't have time to send it back because I needed it for hunting season so I kept it. Needless to say I was very disappointed in the deceptive add. My order number was (#103-5556542-9209847). I believe this was not Amazon's issue but the company that sent me the scope was the deceptive ones.
Excellent Scope
I bought the Nikon Buckmaster scope to go with a new Model 700 Buckmasters Edition 7mm08. It's a perfect match. The scope is noticibly clearer in daylight conditions over the Prostaff, and I like the prostaff as well. The vendor advertised the BDC redical, but the reviews indicated that the customers received the Nikoplex redical instead. I wanted the Nikoplex, and although they advertised the BDC, I did in fact get the Nikoplex. Great value for the money.
Buckaster
I installed this on a Ruger SR-556 and could not be happier. Used a AR15 QR Weaver Mount/ Cantilever Scope Mount Rear Ring/30mm and 1" Inserts and made for a great package. Very clear easy to target. This is not a BDC Scope if you want that buy that.

Leupold Cascades Roof Prism Binoculars, 10x42mm, Black

MUCH better than an equivalent Nikon Monarch
Ended up buying these at Dick's Sporting Goods as I really wanted to try them hands on.
Dick's prices were competitive with online plus I got credit using their Scorecard.
In any case, I was shocked how lousy the Nikon Monarchs were..I tried various models.
Not pleasant to look through, and no where near as sharp as the Leupolds.
Couldn't find any difference online between the Leupold Acadia & Cascades, but when I tried the models side by side in the store, I saw a noticeable difference. I don't know if it's the coatings or what, but the Cascades were amazing!
Very sharp, including under low light conditions. I had a decent field of view (didn't lose perspective of where I was at when viewing or searching for things), and they had relatively low shake. I wouldn't want greater magnification unless it had some sort of image stabilization function (hand held shaking problem). Nice compact size.
Believe it or not, these are NOT made in China as various...
the best

Stack-On PS-520 Super-Sized Personal Safe with Electronic Lock

Stack-on ps-520 super sized personal safe with electronic lock
well I've had this safe for about two months or so and i have to say it was easy to set up right out of the box and a lot sturdier than i though it would be. I love the silent feature that's always a plus, plenty of room for my guns you can probably fit 10-12 full sized hand guns who knows maybe a few more for sub-compact models. fits nice and tucks well into the top shelf of my closet far up away from the kids. overall I'd say i am satisfied with this safe at this time, and would recommend it to any one with a need to secure weapons or valuables in their home PLEASE NOTE: THIS SAFE IS NOT FORT KNOX i don't think it's designed to keep the crowned jewels safe from elite safe cracking ninja thieves lol but it will definitely deter or slow down your every day crook. I don't really have any bad things to say about it being that it's doing what it's supposed to do. hope this review helps
Nice oversize personal safe at a reasonable price.
Just a basic lock-box type safe. Plenty of room inside. Not fireproof or suggested for electronic media, it seems reasonably secure for what it is.
Got it at my local gun store for $129.99 + tax
I was looking around for a safe under $300 that I could keep in the closet and keep my valuables inside of the house in a safe spot. I did alot of research online and found that most of the Sentry Safe brand safes are totally worthless and easy to break into because they either have a plastic interior or you can hit the lock on the top to get the door to open.

During my online researching I found out that there are many different types of safes like burglary safes, fire safes, wall safes, floor safes, and basic house safes. Burglary safes have a rating from B1 to B6 with B1 being the lowest security rating. TL-15 safes can be cracked in 15 min by experts using drills, saws, and other equipment, and TL-30 can be cracked in 30 minutes. Many of the burglary safes cost $300+ which I didnt want to spend mostly because of the shipping weight and the thick metal doors.

I looked at many different safes like the...

KillZone 360 Hub Style Ground Blind Deer and Turkey Hunting Blind with Open Woods Camo

the 360 on stilts works perfect
i use this blind on an elevated blind and it gives me excelent view in any dirrection ,this is my second blind like this so i ordered knowing what good quality it is,i removed all the camo screening and just simply slide down any area window i want to see out of and the black inside just leaves you undetected, a lots of room for 2 people if needed
Brutaly Honest
I really like the ease of use of the zipper openings and the actual size of each opening too. The blind is a happy medium in size for deer hunting.( Not so small that you cant fit two people in it.Not too big where it stands out in the woods.) The blind is fairly easy to fold out and assemble in the field. What I am not too happy about is the camo pattern on the outside of the blind is turning an orange tint. The picture shown above is what it started out looking like and was a big reason I selected this blind to begin with. Now Im left with : Orange you going to hunt out of this blind?
Almost perfect
easy set up
not very easy to hold down, will move around in high wind hope it doesn't blow over.

ASAT Vanish Pro 3D Suit Large

As close to adaptive camo as you'll get for this price.
First...I only gave 4 stars because on the ASAT website, they say this suit has a zippered fly but the suit i was sold must have been an older model because it does not have that feature. It would have been nice to have, but its not a deal breaker. Just a minor gripe. Maybe a little more detail in the product description could have avoided that let down.

Now, on to the good stuff. The suit itself is well made and the long zippers on the legs make getting the pants on over boots a breeze. Keep in mind that the base fabric all the "leaves" are sewn to is mesh, it wont last forever, but it seems to be as tough a mesh as you could ask for in a garment of this type. I can see getting at least four or five seasons out of it as long as i dont abuse it. The mesh makes this a very versitile suit that can be worn over virtually anything. It works as well over street cloths as it does over bulky insulating layers or rain gear. It is cut big to allow for it to fit over anything...
Thumbs up
What a great way to hunt.
I went out in pretty warm weather to Squirrel hunt and decided to test out the suit.

Wore Shorts and T Shirt under it. The mesh breathes great and I stayed nice and cool.
Of course, this material gets caught on Briars but that's just gonna happen.

Washing the suit a few times and running it in the Dryer on Low/NoHeat with Scent Free Fabric softener sheets quiets down the material. It is slightly noisy at first.

The Hood works great over baseball cap or brimmed Beannie.

In the Winter, you can just layer up as much or as little warm layers under it....no more having to buy EVERYTHING in Camo!
looks good, can't wait to try it in the field
this suit looks great , seems to be very good quality, love the zippered legs, I wear asize 34-32 pants and these larges seem to fit perfect , will go over other clothes well or shorts if hot weather, haven't tested the camo pattern and colors but i think they're going to be good , I will update review after testing.

Armasight Spark CORE Multi-Purpose Night Vision Monocular

Excellent resolution, useless without ir spot
First off, let me say that this unit is the best Gen-1 device I've ever worked with or studied. It has performed almost exactly as I expected, and I like this little unit. That being said:

PROS:
This is the first gen-1 device I've seen that uses a ceramic core instead of glass, making it much more durable and with higher resolution than all the rest. It still uses a gen-1 grade light transferal system, so the light amplification is no better than your average gen-1+ unit. It does, however, greatly increase the quality and usefulness of the device when used in conjunction with an InfraRed illuminator. It also makes it weapons mountable. When used with an Eagletac T20C with 2nd gen. 3.4w IR module, I can just barely identify coyotes vs sheep at about 150 meters. When placed behind an Aimpoint CompM3, I have a hard time identifying anything out past about 80 meters. That being said, my alignment isn't quite perfect, so that may contribute some light loss...
very nice IR monocular
I was flat out impressed with this NV moncular. I have spent many hours on gaurd duty at night in a gun tower wearing my issue NODS and this little unit is not far off from them and this is an afffordable gen1 NV system. I feel that this unit out performs its pricee point and its Gen1 status. To say Gen1+ is safe and a bit of an understatment. Serious bang for your buck period.
Great Product
I did a lot of research for a night vision product. I only wanted to spend a couple hundred dollars on one. the ones that are less expensive dont have very good ratings and apparently have that fisheye look. meaning an area of not good clarity surrounding a smaller hole of good clarity. this is very clear all the way around. the next step up from this price range is going to add another grand to your total. dont need to do that if you are looking for something to use around the house or out on a couple acres of land. the infra red boost doesnt do a whole lot extra, you can see it come on and it will help a little for 25 feet out. You dont really need it if you have any type of light. great results. you cant imagine how many stars you cant see with the naked eye. point this up to the stars on a clear night. Awesome. Looking forward to some accessories for this. well worth the price.

Trijicon RMR Sight Adjustable (LED, 3.25 MOA Red Dot)

Great option
I bought this red dot sight to quickly engage targets at close range which is the only real weakness of the Trijicon ACOG. While the RMR could be used as a stand alone sight on a rifle it seems to be at it's best when paired with an ACOG scope either directly mounted on top of it or mounted on a 45 degree offset mount. I've shot the RMR out to 100yds but further distances may become more difficult as the red dot starts to obscure distant targets. The RMR is also versatile as it can be mounted directly to some pistols with no gunsmithing required and other models can be modified to accept the RMR with a qualified gunsmiths assistance. Installation was easy when mounted to the proper mounting bracket which are specific to the ACOG model, picatinny rail adapter, or pistol. I think when used in conjunction with a magnified optic or on a pistol; the RMR is a great sight. If you want to use this as a primary sight on a rifle, I think there are better red dot sight options from Aimpoint and...
Perfect
Just the perfect size for the pistol. I mounted this on a FNX 45 Tactical and couldn't be happier. I highly recommend this for home defense in conjunction with raised suppressor sights (for co-witness) and a laser/light combo. (just in case the battery runs low, or for some reason you can't find the red dot)

This thing is built like a tank. It is never going to break. It can also be used as a ledge to do emergency rack of slide in case your other hand is doing something else. My only concern is that the glass window gets dirty very easily... and in poor backlight conditions that blocks the view and fuzzies out the red dot and even blockes the front sight... so you are SOL in that situation if you don't have a laser mount.

It definitely makes it easier being able to shoot with both eyes wide open, and not having to worry about aligning the front sight with rear sights... I would say the true benefit from this is fast target acquisition while in motion... when you...
Trijicon RMR 3.25 MOA Red dot
Very good quality.
I have other much cheaper Red Dots, but this one is by far the best.
The lifetime warranty is what allowed me to justify using a more expensive Red Dot like the Trijicon.

Mounting was easy with the Glock RMR pistol mount.

The sight/mount has held its zero for more than 1500 rounds on a Glock 19.

Taser 39036 Gold Kit-Blk C2,2 Live

Effective Tool at Reasonable Price
The Taser is a very effective tool for handling imminent threats using less-than-lethal force. The C2's combination of both dart cartridges and direct contact prods provides tactical flexibility. The only criticism I have is that the clip-on holster detaches easily from a belt, which can be a problem both exiting a vehicle and in a hands-on situation. Third party holsters are available to address this. Overall, I am happy with this product at this price and would recommend it.
Very unhappy. Poor customer service
Bought this product back in February. I have been trying to activate since then. It asks for you to complete a criminal background but it does not allow you to complete it just as you get half way doing it it tells you that this product cannot be registered and to contact the manufacturer, and when you do contact them they tell you it's cleared for you to try again, but again when you try to register it and do the background check it tells you to contact the manufacturer . I contact the seller about a week ago to see if I can return it or exchange and was told that I waited too long. And was advised to contact the manufacturer again. Will try again hopefully the third time will work. Very poor customer service.
Taser C2
I recieved the taser within a couple of days. I watched the demo video and tested it soon after. It is awesome. It meet all of my expections. I believe its a great buy for the money.

Troy Industries Front Folding Tritium M4 Style Battle Sight (Flat Dark Earth)

Great Sight
I purchased the Troy fixed front sight and this fixed rear. Finish is good, I'm not really a fanatic about the looks just wanted a quality set of sights that work. I'm using a YHM lightweight quad specter length that gives me a long sight radius between the sight picture. The rear sight is the A1 style and I'm using them as my primary sights. I don't mount red dots or scopes just shoot a 250m zero and they work fine. Small aperture and large are on the same plain. Sturdy rugged and lightweight. No hassle sighting and I would recommend these over the "plastic flippers" we all know about. Some things need to remain metal and I'm a fan of polymer but as a primary sight system these are hard to beat. Remember to pick up an A1/A2 sight combo tool.
Didn't work for me:(
Just did't work for me. Didn't like sight picture seemed fuzzy. Turn it around backwards and it is much better.
What Can I Say?
Well built, installs easily and simply works.

What more can one say other than it does all of this without fancy (difficult to use or delicate) controls and is very sturdy due to its all metal construction.

Mueller APV AO Rifle Scope, Black, 4.5-14 x 40mm

Great Scope for an incredible price
I have now owned my Mueller scope for over a year now, mounted on a .17 HMR Savage bolt action (heavy bull barrel). All I can say is wow.

This scope is razor sharp, deadly accurate and has get ability to capture light. When shopping for a scope, I was looking at Nikons, Leupolds and similar when I discovered Muellers. After finding out that they are a Michigan company (where I live) and reading lots of reviews, I decided to try it out. Heck, they are touted as a medium quality Leupold with an entry price tag.

Well, that is 100% true and more. I find myself making the argument that these scopes are slightly better than a a mid-range Leupold.

I have since shot off about 2000 .17 rounds and the scope has kept its zero perfectly. The MOA adjustments are solid and easy to use without tools. I used Burris Zee Rings to mount it as Mueller recommended.

What is really nice about the scope too is the ability to adjust your focus from 25, 50,...
Great deal for the price!
Mounted this on my 10/22 and it works very nicely. Easy to adjust cross-hairs without extra tools. Did not come with mounting hardware.
Good clarity, Questionable Dependability
I really wanted to be one of the people that bought this scope, had zero problems, lived happily ever after and rated it 5 stars on Amazon. I am happy, overall, when i consider what it represents at it's price. I have, however, had a couple problems.

The first one i received was mounted on my bolt-action Marlin .22LR. I took it to the range for the first time, sighted it in, proceeded to shoot several tiny little groups, shot the best score i have ever put up on a 50yd. benchrest target, and then i noticed the POI started shifting gradually. I was confused to say the least. Right after i noticed the changes i spotted the culprit. The erector tube was rolling around in the objective bell! Mueller took care of this very quickly and paid for shipping. Thumbs up for their service department.

The replacement scope is optically and mechanically sound but the Adjustable-objective is off. I have to have the lens set at infinity to focus at 200+ yards. Not anywhere close...

ArmaLaser Stingray SR3 S&W Sigma Rail Mount Laser Sight, Black

Most Excellent Laser Sight for S&W Sigma!
Pro's:
The Stingray by ArmaLaser is without doubt the very best fit for your Sigma SW9VE or SW40VE.
This sight does NOT take an adapter, it fits right on your Sigma rail.
On/Off Switch is firm and tight, no slop at all.
Easy to adjust sight with elevation and windage fully adjustable by Allen screw adjustments that stay put once adjusted.
The laser is, bright and tight, red.
All the extra parts, Allen wrenches, screws, extra battery cover screw, nuts, stickers, and cleaning cloth are excellent touches but ... (see cons)

Cons:
No cons on the laser or its operation, none at all! The price is pretty stiff, comparatively speaking, but I'll pay more gladly for "Made in the U.S.A." quality. My package was short both cleaning brushes. I will contact ArmaLaser to see what happened to my brushes. Hopefully they will just send me some out, we'll see.

Other Thoughts:
I have used laser sights on my weapon(s) before but nothing compares...
looks and works flawlessly
very easy to instal. is somewhat tough to adjust but once you get it dialed in, the thing wont move and is dead on accurate. looks great and is very easy to turn on and off.
Works great
This site has a very simple installation with a simple adjustment to zero in your target. Delivery was fast. I give this product the highest recommendation.

Midwest Industries Gen 2 SS-Series 15-Inch Rail, Black

BEST RAIL ON THE MARKET.
I will be up front and say I watched tons of videos/reviews on rails before I purchased this item. The look I wanted was "LVOA-C" which is a really long hand-guard. The rail is very very lite weight and built nicely. It installs and removes quickly and works with most low profile blocks. I didn't purchase one, instead used the standard m4 front sight block. I grinded it down to fit and does awesome.

The rail fits tight on the flat top upper (PSA) and stays aligned with the t marks. It feels awesome in your hand, not sharp on your hands, and comes with rails for tac handle or light/laser mount. The rail shipped fast and was on my gun in a few hours. I LOVE IT!!!
Looks bad a$$ on a 16" barrel
This went on my my first build. It looks awesome on a carbine barrel. It feels sturdy, but I don't run my stuff hard so I can't comment on durability/longevity. I don't think I am ever going to have a problem with it. It is super thin and light weight. The extra rail peices make it easy to mount a vfg. It does include a bipod stud and a rail piece with a qd hole
Great Rail
Received in Prime time. Great fit, finish and very easy to install. 15in on 16.5in barrel looks great.... Would highly recommend this rail to anyone....

Irish Setter Men's Wingshooter 7" Upland Boot,Dark Brown,9.5 D US

All around boot
As said in the description, the boots are DARK BROWN. (good) I wore them around the house for a couple hours and then walked the dogs a couple times. All good. Walked in the woods for an hour and all is good. I cleaned them and put a coat of mink oil on and let them set a day. Then I applied cordovan wax. They look good and the leather is soft. Nice boots.

I especially like the thickness of the sole including the insole. Very good protection from gravel etc.
Fine boots
These are some fine looking boots. I had a pair of Irish Setter hiking boots for 25 years. I wore them to Alaska on 12 hunting trips. I hope these measure up. They seem to be sturdily made, waterproof, and somewhat lighter weighing only 4 1/2 lbs. I'm looking forward to giving them a true test.
Good comfy boot
So far these boots are comfy and dry out of the box. They are a slight bit heavier then my old ones but with the built in waterproofing that is expected. Hope to get a lot of miles out of these again.

Leica Disto D5 Digital Laser Rangefinder with 2.4-inch Screen and 45-degree tilt Sensor

Just short of great
I use the Disto D5 primarily outdoors, which is why I purchased this model. I purchased a set of infrared goggles but the target finder largely eliminates the need for them, which is a good thing.

For straight length measurements using the device hand held is easy enough. If you need to use any of the indirect (Pythagorean) modes a tripod is a must, but not a great inconvenience. So far I have not needed a purchased target, I have used a piece of paper taped to the corner. Accuracy is great, if you hit your target.

My only complaint is that the tilt sensor should go beyond 45 degrees. The few times I have tried the function it has been a limiting factor.
Much More Reliable At Distance Than D3
After spending an hour and a half measuring a large room with a tape, I finally broke down and bought a Leica DISTO D3. While that unit is very well built, compact, and the price was not too painful, I found many problems using it at longer distances and on some surfaces even at shorter distances. The D5 is everything the D3 is and a little more, but is much more reliable at longer (100'+) range. Measurements I was having real problems taking come out no problem, and the color LCD screen is much friendlier to use. I don't need the bluetooth communication capabilities of the D8 or the A series, so the D5 is really the best possible tool for the job. Quick, accurate, very well built, it came recommended by others I trust in my industry and now I know why.

You should be aware that Amazon's price is about $100 higher than this unit can be found for elsewhere. I returned my Amazon-bought D3 as it wouldn't reliably take measurements it claimed to be able to, and upgraded to the...
An Amazing Instrument
I purchased the Disto D5 for laying out foundations for a house I'm building. The D5 is reasonably simple to use. I spent a couple hours playing with it and now feel comfortable using it. I've layed out my batter boards for the foundation to within 1/32 in. accuracy. A level of precision I would have never been able to obtain with a sagging tape measurer. The D5 is compact, and you get a sense of quality when holding it. You simply aim the laser at a surface to be measured and you spot the laser dot or find the item in a cross hair on the LCD screen. The color LCD screen is bright and surprisingly so is the laser dot. Within distances found on a construction site the dot is large enough to see with the unaided eye in full sunlight-surpirse for me. The indirect measurement functions are handy, volume and areas calculations are pretty straight forward. For long measurements 50' or more you will need to steady the instrument (hand shake) and probably could use a tripod. The...

Bushnell Hybrid Pinseeker Laser Rangefinder and GPS Unit

Better than expected
I've had a callaway upro for the past 2 years and was ready for a change. I wanted a range finder instead of gps to get more accurate distances. I also wanted something faster than the upro, it seemed like I spent a lot of time messing around with the upro to get what I needed on the course. But, I didn't want to give up the ability to get distances on blind shots and layup distance on long par 5's. I'm very glad I found the bushnell hybrid. I've played a couple rounds with it so far and love it. The range finder, which I use 90% of the time, is very quick to get yardages and easy to find the flag from 200 in. The GPS is rather sparse, but has everything I need, back front middle and some other elements on certain holes, like a creek. You can also add your own items on courses you play a lot. The gps is very responsive and it moves from hole to hole on its own. The battery on the upro was aweful, sometimes not even making it through the round. While I haven't fully tested the...
Great combination of GPS and Rangefinder
I was looking into purchasing either a Golf GPS or Rangefinder when I ran accross this Hybrid that had both features. Amazon had the price down to $399 at the time so it was hard to resist. I've used it a few rounds and am very impressed. The Pinseeker feature works very quickly and is a snap. I basically point it in the direction of the pin and it finds the distance then displays the Pinseeker icon to verify it's been located. The GPS feature works great for those times I don't need precise yardages. My only complaint it that the GPS never finds my home course and I have to manually input it each time. This was before and after I performed the required connection to igolf for the GPS upgrades. Overall, I'm very happy with this product.
Excellent concept, however....
Got the unit as a gift. I like the concept of having both laser and GPS. When it works it is wonderful. The issue I am having is with the rechargable battery. The battery lasts one round and requires a complete recharge. Its more of a hassle than anything. My Pinseeker 1500 had one of those rectangle batteries and typically lasted up to 6 months. I would get a "low battery" message on the screen and would replace at the end of the round. It was more user friendly than having to plug in the hybrid after every round.

Viridian C5L-R Universal Sub-Compact Red Dot Laser Sight with Tactical Light, Black

small package
I like how it's programmable and that it's pretty light and small, but the mounts are plastic and bend/flex out. If you constantly take it on/off the laser won't hold it's zero. So everytime you put it on you'll have to re-adjust the laser. If it had a better, more solid mounting, it would be better and I would rate it higher. I use this on my XDs at night and take it off during the day when I carry it.
Very illminating
Lots of great functions and advanced settings for the laser and tactical light and works great. I was not concerned about day time operation iron sights are for that. But it does put out well enough, it can be easily seen on a bright day at closer range. I picked the red laser for several reasons. I read that it consumes less energy than the green and in my opinion a little more stealth with the red. It reminds me of red battle station lights used by the Navy.
Fit onto an FNX 40 was a little strange as the 1913 rail was slightly larger than the width of the rail sets provided by Viridian .The instructions did note this and simply said to have them loose while installing. So on it went and snugged the screws. I do not know if this will be an issue seemed to fit tightly with a slight inward bend on the rail sets. To remove it will need to be loosened not only from the cross bolt but at the rail set. Adjustment of the laser is very easy I used a laser bore sight and with the...
Great Unit for the Money
I was initially worried going with the red laser unit over a green laser unit. However once I received it, all worries were put aside. The red laser is plenty strong enough. I can see it in the daylight, it is bright, and it is big. Save yourself some money and don't worry about having the green laser. For over a hundred bucks less, its definitely worth the savings.

Packaging... excellent. I love the little gun barrel/slide tool kit the unit comes attached to in the box. It contains wrenches, adapters, battery, etc. The instructions were pretty easy to figure out and I had the unit mounted and ready to go in less than 10 minutes.

Operation... the ambidextrous finger buttons are easy to get to and I do not have the longest fingers. So far I have yet to have the unit activate in my pocket or under a pillow. There are several modes you can set the unit to on the push of the button. You set this by hitting both buttons at the same time to flip modes. Then...

Bushnell Pro 1600 Tournament Edition Golf Laser Rangefinder

Works great, much better than GPS
Just tested this rangefinder for the first time on the course yesterday, and already it has helped me to shave a few strokes off my game.

I played a local course and took the rangefinder and my golflogix gps. The Golflogix told me I was 120 yards out, the Bushnell said 103. I hit my pitching wedge (normally goes 100) and landed a few yards from the pin.

So long as your approach shot distances are fairly consistent, you'll benefit from not having to guess if the flag is front back or middle.

This particular unit is a little bulkier than some other rangefinders, but I find it very easy to hold onto. Also, the excellent pouch fits easily onto my golf bag, so taking it in and out to use is easy. I was able to easily grab pins under 200 yards instantly. Pins further out take a bit longer. Yesterday I was able to get a pin 353 yards out. An interesting experiment, but well beyond my golfing range.

I decided on this unit over a Leupold for 3...
It Is The Best
I am anal when it comes to making comparisons. Especially if I am buying through mail-order. I will research items for a long time.
When it came to picking a range finder I had it narrowed down to the Leupold GX 1 and the Bushnell 1600. The first comparisons I did were at my house.
The Leupold was small and lightweight, about half the size of the Bushnell. The first thing I noticed was the Leupold had a slight yellowish tint when looking through it. If I didn't have the Bushnell to compare it to (very bright and clear),I probably wouldn't have noticed it. Leupold said it was the coating on the optics. Whatever it is, I didn't care for the tint. I then started taking measurements outside my window. My neighbors house is brick and the Leupold would NOT read the brick at all. I then "shot" their front door and got a 50 yard reading. I then shot their awning which overhangs their door and it wouldn't give me a reading. After the 4th attempt it finally said 52 yards. That's...
Excellent rangefinder
I checked out this rangefinder, Bushnell Pro 1600 Tournament Edition Laser Rangefinder with Pinseeker, against the GPS devices, as well as some of the older Nikon laser devices. This one has wonderful ease of use and accuracy. It gives readings which are very repeatable. It seems to be durable.

I found several things that another user of prospective purchaser might consider helpful:

1. The silicone/rubber surface resists all kind of inks, so that it is impossible to inscribe your name on the outside of the device. I even tried to write my name with a small soldering iron, but the cover even resisted this. Eventually I decided to include a label with my name on it in the battery compartment.
2. The pinseeker feature is excellent for picking up the flag. Using the other setting is helpful in picking layup distances.
3. The battery will become exhausted when you need the...

Big Game The Warrior Deluxe Ladder Stand, Black

Pleased and disappointed
Ordered this ladder stand without being able to know what the height was (not provided in product description). Pleased to learn when received that it was 17ft. A little disappointed in the small seat and foot area of the stand. Also received Camo covers for arm rests and shooting rail, but unit did not come with padding to go under Camo covers. Ok buy for the money.
Awesome stand
I have 6 stands on my property and they are all similar to this one. The only improvement that could be made would be a thicker seat pad. You will need one for those long sits, other than that this is a great stand for the price, easy to assemble and not alot heavier than a climber.

Midwest Industries Gen 2 SS-Series 12-Inch Rail, Black

Nice float guard.
This is a nice float guard. Quality and easy to mount, and light weight. Comes with lock tight, can be taken apart after lock tighting it. Only con is two of the rails are polymer (plastic) so be careful to not over tighten mounting screws or get after market attachable rails (check hole mount spacing). I have replaced other hand guards with these. It also comes in different lengths and colors.
This is a fantastic rail!!
I installed on my AR with no problems. Have another AR with a Samson Manuf rail of similar features and price. I like this one better since the accessory rails can be mounted with screws from the outside of the rail. Very easy.
On the Samson rail, if you need to install accessory rails after the rail is mounted to gun, you need to figure a way to hold a backing plate to the inside of the rail while screwing in the screw from the outside. Best bet is to install them BEFORE mounting the handguard. If I didn't have an extendable mechanics magnet, I don't know how I'd install these rails if I need to get in near the mid area to barrel nut area.
I'm building another 20" AR for the fun and experience and possible sale. I'll be buying another MI Gen 2 rail for this gun as well.
Very nice quad rail for the price.
This rail is FAR better than the Fortis REV that I bought for a second AR15 I was building. This rail actually fit over the low profile gas block properly AND it came with its own barrel nut.

My only complaint is, and the reason for 1 star reduction, is that the 2 plastic rail pieces broke when torqued down to 35 inch pounds like the instructions said. If I had it to do over again I would buy this rail in a heartbeat and I will likely buy more in the future. I will just torque down the added rail panels to 30 inch pounds instead.

I would heartily recommend this rail to another person! I installed the Fortis REV first on the other AR15 and I was dreading installing this one because the Fortis REV was such a pain in the ass to put on. I should have just sent it back and gotten another one of these!
